Kirra Teal Hellfritsch is a jeweler, sculptor, and textile artist residing in Oakland, California. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, she was homeschooled as a young child among the redwoods, learning how to make clothes, construct tree forts, and the importance of using recycled materials.
Kirra plays with form and function as she investigates trauma of the body and mind. Her work has been exhibited at CCA’s 19th annual scholarship dinner where she was a keynote speaker, the CCA 360° Ring Show, Yuma Jewelry Symposium, and the recent Familiar Faces Exhibition. Kirra will graduate with a BFA in Sculpture from California College of the Arts in 2021.
